UNC Visitors CenterStarting point for visitors; phone 919-962-1630. Free student-led Sense of Place walking tours run weekdays only, end at Kenan Stadium, and require advance registration (no walk-ins). No parking validation. Hours: 10 a.m.-4 p.m. fall/spring semesters (summer opens 9 a.m.).

Are UNC campus tours free, and do I need to book?The Visitors Center says all its tours are free. The in-person Sense of Place tour needs advance registration, while the self-guided tour does not.

UNC's Registrar marks the Spring 2027 Commencement date as tentative, so we don't print it yet. Check UNC's Commencement page for the confirmed date; parking details were to be released in the spring semester.

Do I need a ticket for UNC Commencement?For the main University ceremony in Kenan Stadium, UNC's 2026 FAQ says there is no ticket or registration and no guest limit. Departmental ceremonies set their own guest rules.

When is UNC spring commencement 2027?UNC's Registrar marks the Spring 2027 Commencement date as tentative, so we don't print it yet. The main ceremony is normally in Kenan Stadium in early May, with departmental ceremonies around it; check UNC's Commencement page for the confirmed date and parking details, which UNC said would come in the spring semester. Registrar dates: the graduation application opens Oct. 14, 2026 and the online application deadline is April 14, 2027.
